Honourable Mentions: Blade, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight
A report came out last month which claimed that Marvel and Netflix might be working on adding three new characters to their line-up. Fortunately, these are three heroes that fans frequently say should get their own series. If they weren’t apparently already in the works, they would definitely be in this list.
Vampire hunter Blade was previously played by Wesley Snipes in a trilogy of movies around the turn of the century, which are often noted to be the first in the modern wave of comic book films that took themselves seriously. Demonic biker Ghost Rider, on the other hand, featured in two underwhelming movies with a miscast Nicolas Cage in the late 2000s. Moon Knight, meanwhile, has never made it to live-action before.
Clearly, if any three Marvel characters deserve the Netflix treatment, it is this trio. Let’s hope the report was true and they will appear on the streaming service in the near future.
