Superhero TV now takes up a big chunk of our week. With five shows on air between Monday and Thursday, there’s always a lot to catch up on. On top of that, there’s the 13 episodes of gritty greatness that Marvel keep dropping every six months. With so many costumed heroes on the small screen, we’ve decided to start comparing each show in our Superhero TV Power Rankings.
The CW currently have four interconnected shows on air, while the Marvel Cinematic Universe offers up Agents of SHIELD. Given how the later has moved from spy thriller to full-blown Inhumans and powered heroes, we felt it was worth contrasting with the DC/CW universe. In our opening week, we’ve also included Luke Cage, the latest offering from Netflix and Marvel.
The Power Rankings are our new recurring feature. We’re going to rate each episode, and rank them each week on their average score for the season. The focus is solely on Superheroes, which leaves out Gotham and The Walking Dead. We’re also not including any show which doesn’t have any new episodes scheduled. That’s the reason behind Luke Cage’s short stay. To see where he ranks in his brief appearance, click below for the rundown.
