At CinemaCon 2016, Sony Pictures revealed their slate of upcoming films. Chairman Tom Rothman announced the Men in Black–21 Jump Street crossover would come in the form of MIB 23. Sony also announced a Charlie’s Angel reboot set to be directed by comedian Elizabeth Banks, which you can read up on here.
According to Comic Book, it’s safe to assume Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will return as Schmidt and Jenko for the crossover with the Men in Black franchise. Audiences should not bet on seeing Will Smith return as Jay, however. The rumor train claims both Tommy Lee Jones and Smith will not be coming ‘Back in Black’ (AC/DC reference for the win), but that has yet to be confirmed. Perhaps Josh Brolin will play a young Kay once again. Only time will tell.
The project does not have a determined release date. Do not worry, though! You can always re-watch previous incarnations of 21 Jump Street and Men in Black, wait for the light to flash and repeat.
