Now thanks to Vought International, we now have a release date for The Boys Season 4, and we have some new promos including a poster and another mock ad that gives us an idea of where the story could be headed.

Check this out:

It’s also been revealed that the series will be returning on June 13.

The show isn’t really shy on taking jabs at the Right, so it would make sense that they would adapt a MAGA-like slogan with “Make America Super Again”.

Here’s the mock ad with Victoria Neuman:

Though Neuman did start out the show claiming that she wanted to put the supers in check, it now looks like she’s going back and putting the spotlight on her caring about the superhumans and wanting them to have their own voice in congress.

We don’t know what the endgame could be for Neuman moving forward, but we do know that the series’ big bad is Homelander. So far, fans are really just waiting for someone to take him out, but since everyone is expecting that, maybe the show has different plans for him.

The Boys Season 4 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 13.

The War with Vought Continues in First Teaser for The Boys Season 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/first-teaser-for-the-boys-season-4/ Thu, 07 Dec 2023 11:52:17 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=79972 Amazon had successfully launched their Gen V spinoff, and with the cliffhanger teasing Butcher and a new clash with Homelander, everyone has started wondering about the main show in the Vought franchise.

Just in, we now have our first teaser for The Boys 4, and fans definitely have a lot of questions. Check this out:

Since it has been a while since the third season, Amazon has also dropped a recap to give us an idea of where we are by the time the fourths season kicks in:

The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.

We know that Homelander manages to goad Ryan to join his side, and we see him parading him around in some rallies. We also see that we have some new supes entering the fray with Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry).

Surprisingly, we also have a clip of Black Noir taking photos with Deep and A-Train. We supposedly saw him die last season, so a lot of fans are curious as to who this new Noir is. A clone? Or can Black Noir just not die?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan also joins the cast as another suit that’s above Butcher, and it’s going to be interesting to see just how he fits in this world. After all, he himself has had some memorable comic book roles in Watchmen and The Walking Dead.

The Boys Season 4 is expected to premiere sometime in 2024.

Watch Bloopers for Sex Education Season 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-bloopers-for-sex-education-season-4/ Fri, 13 Oct 2023 08:02:45 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=79147 Netflix’s Sex Education may have come to and end recently, but the show and the stars have one more video to send off the fans.

Just in, the blooper reel for the fourth season of Sex Ed has been released, and it will probably be the last time we see all of the cast together. Watch this:

Did someone say BLOOPERS?! The best (and hilarious) Sex Education Season 4 bloopers are finally here, featuring all of your faves.

Though the show had ended in a place which makes sense for a lot of the characters, there are admittedly some fans that felt that the final season of the series was a tad lackluster.

Not only did they not manage to bring back fan-favorites like Lily (Tanya Reynolds), Ola (Patricia Allison), and Olivia (Simon Ashley), but the last season also took place in an entirely different setting from Moordale, which was shut down in Season 3. Instead, we had Cavendish College, an overly progressive school with a cartoonishly ‘woke’ student body

Even so, I thought that all of the main characters still had their arcs meaningfully closed, with Aimee embracing art and moving past her trauma and Eric reconciling both his gay lifestyle with his religious one. Of course, at the very center is also Otis and Maeve who were together for only a short while, but their relationship is at the very core of the show.

Hopefully we get some kind of reunion movie down the line.

Watch all four seasons of Sex Education now streaming on Netflix.

Harley Joins the Bat-Fam in Trailer for Harley Quinn Season 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/harley-joins-the-bat-fam-in-harley-quinn-season-4/ Thu, 27 Jul 2023 11:24:40 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=77979 We may not know when Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will return to theaters, but WB’s animated series Harley Quinn is still going strong on Max. Season 4 is set to premiere this week, and we have a new trailer showcasing more R-rated shenanigans from Gotham’s favorite crazy clown girl.

Check this out:

With the last season bringing Harley and Ivy together, it looks Season 4 will once again have them at the opposite ends of the hero/villain spectrum, what with Harley joining the Bat-Family and Ivy getting in on Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom.

While the clash between the Legion and the Justice League is expected, the inclusion of Harley on the heroes’ side is definitely a good set-up for comic book shenanigans and Harley not quite grasping what it means to be a law-abiding hero.

You have to hand it to a show like Harley Quinn. While the DC side of movies had been flip-flopping on what kind of direction to take with its stories, HQ was able to move forward with its zany take on DC characters, with the heroes even being written to be less than perfect than their live-action counterparts.

Not to mention Harley Quinn also manages to make topical jokes at internet pop-culture managing to poke fun at the dark Joker solo movie starring Joaquin Phoenix as well as Zack Snyder’s Justice League loyalists and their hate for ‘woke’ media.

Harley Quinn Season 4 premieres on Max on July 27.

Karl Urban Announces Wrap on The Boys Season 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/karl-urban-announces-wrap-on-the-boys-season-4/ Thu, 13 Apr 2023 14:16:57 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=76292 Superhero properties may not be doing so hot right now, with Shazam! 2 doing dismal numbers and Quantumania receiving middling reviews. However, one comic book property is still managing to keep things fresh with Amazon’s The Boys.

Just in, Karl Urban (Billy Butcher) has announced a wrap on the fourth season, and he shares a photo of himself with new cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead, Watchmen). Check this out:

A post shared by Karl Urban (@karlurban)

We don’t have any details on who Morgan is playing in the series yet, but with him wearing a suit and tie, I can assume he could either be someone working for Vought, or a government agent who directly handles Butcher and his boys.

With Morgan’s status in pop-culture as the Comedian and Negan, I’m sure The Boys will have something wild for him to do, since the series is also pretty meta in nature.

It’s unclear what plot thread Season 4 will want to pull, but we know that Butcher is now terminally ill, thanks to his use of the Temporary V. It’s also been teased that Homelander’s son (also Butcher’s adapted son), is now embracing his superhero persona, and he could very much be a new Homelander in the making. Hopefully Butcher and his team will manage to find a stop to that.

No release date has been set for the fourth season of The Boys, but hopefully we’ll get the premiere sometime later this year. In the meantime, you can check out the first three seasons on Amazon Prime Video.

Return to Xadia in New Teaser for The Dragon Prince 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/dragon-prince-4-teaser-takes-us-back-to-xadia/ Thu, 29 Sep 2022 13:26:06 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=71317 Fans thought Netflix was ready to close the book on The Dragon Prince back in 2019, but the show has been given the chance to complete its entire arc a few years back.

Now Xadia is ready to come back to streaming this September, and we have a new teaser showcasing an older Callum and Ezran—as well as a more mature Zym. Watch this:

Based on the clips that we’ve gotten months before, the season will return with a huge time jump, and it looks like Ezran will have embraced his role as the king of Katolis. Though he started off as some bumbling kid, it also seems that Callum has been promoted into the head mage of the castle.

Who we don’t see in the trailer is the Hermoine of the trio, Rayla the Night Elf. Though she had confirmed some kind of romance with Callum in the last season, it seems that the two have come apart, and we can see that with Callum holding one of Rayla’s blades. With the show trying so hard to get Rayla and Callum to come together, it’s curious what has gotten Rayla to leave. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long until they can be reunited again in the show.

Besides the main trio, the series does have a lot of loose ends to tie up, especially with the fate of Xadia as a whole, and the re-emergence of Viren and Aaravos. Of course, let’s also not forget the fate of King Harrow, who everyone has been speculating for years is trapped inside his pet bird. Wild.

The Dragon Prince returns to Netflix this November.

Westworld 4 Gets New Trailer from HBO https://www.geekfeed.com/westworld-4-gets-new-trailer-from-hbo/ Mon, 27 Jun 2022 07:09:11 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=66665 HBO has always prided itself with some very intellectual content—and none can get as analytical as Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Westworld. The show is set to return with its fourth season, and we have a new trailer bringing us the return of new and old characters.

Check the trailer for Westworld‘s newest season out here:

With the show not being shy with trying to be obscure about their plot, we have a preview that barely gives anything away about the story. It’s unclear if William has died in the series, but it looks like he’ll be having a taste of his own medicine this time around—being controlled by “Charlores”. We also see that characters like Bernard and Caleb have their own kind of arcs to follow; and its possible that Maeve has once again found herself in one of the parks.

I do have a question about the structure at 0:50 because it looks pretty much like the Millennium Clock that we see in HBO’s Watchmen series. I doubt it has any machinery that’s made to entrap a quantum being like Doctor Manhattan though.

We don’t know how long HBO plans to run Westworld, but I think the series has been pretty consistent so far when it comes to quality. Hopefully it will be able to complete its story—unlike another cool sci-fi property, Raised by Wolves, which HBO recently cancelled.

Westworld 4 premieres on HBO Max on June 26.

Vecna Isn’t Done in Sneak Peek for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 https://www.geekfeed.com/vecna-isnt-done-in-sneak-peek-for-stranger-things-4-vol-2/ Fri, 10 Jun 2022 08:34:18 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65596 After the Demogorgon and the Mind Flayer, Stranger Things has once again given us a new villain from the Upside Down named Vecna. While the previous season had stopped with a cliffhanger, Vol. 2 is set to drop in July, and we have a sneak peek of what to expect.

Watch this:

Though Vecna has been described as the new main villain of the season, it has been hinted that he’s only a ‘general’ of the Mind Flayer. Though we thought the MF was destroyed in the last season, it looks like the Russians had captured some part of it, and it’s the angry cloud that Hopper is looking at in one of the clips.

With the entire cast being split from each other for the first half of the season, I’m kind of hoping that everyone finds each other by the end of the show. With the cast bouncing off each other throughout the run of the series, it would be a shame not to have all of them together. Then again, I have to hand it to the Duffer Brothers; each story thread from Vecna in Hawkins to saving Hopper in Russia all feel so closely connected—there’s no way we’re not going to see a reunion by the end.

Fingers crossed they manage to salvage Jonathan’s character though, because he does not deserve to be a stoner/slacker no matter how fun Argyle is to watch.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 comes to Netflix on July 1. You can check out the first part now streaming.

No Weekly Release for Stranger Things https://www.geekfeed.com/no-weekly-release-for-stranger-things/ Wed, 08 Jun 2022 14:49:59 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65547 During the rise of streaming services, fans had gotten used to the whole season getting dropped on the premiere date, and while Disney+ and Amazon have been sticking to their weekly release (with great results too), it seems that Netflix wants to keep their binge-able model for Stranger Things.

Talking during a panel at the HRTS Presidents Luncheon (via Variety), Netflix’s head of scripted series for US and Canada said:

“For the fans of ‘Stranger Things,’ this is how they’ve been watching that show, and I think to change that on them would be disappointing… To not give them exactly what they’ve been expecting — which is ‘Stranger Things’ is a seasonal experience, they go through that with them — I think that it would be an abrupt change for the member.”

While fans were happy with the binge-able model before, fans have realized that hype for a specific show can only last for a week or two. With the weekly release, hype and excitement for a series can last for several months.

If anything, it kind of depends greatly on the source material. A series like Stranger Things can probably work when you watch it piece by piece since each episode is lengthy and packed with content, but when you look at Disney+ with their inconsistent runtimes and episode counts, it gets frustrating to wait for the next episode of Moon Knight or Obi-Wan Kenobi since you don’t know if it will be enough to keep you excited for a week.

If you ask me, Amazon kind of changed things up when they decided to release a handful of episodes a week rather than just one; so you can manage your watching, while at the same time not feel shorted.

That’s just my take, at least.

Wetsworld Season 4 Trailer Teases ‘A Perfect Day’ https://www.geekfeed.com/wetsworld-season-4-trailer-teases-a-perfect-day/ Thu, 12 May 2022 09:09:15 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65187 Westworld is set to come back this June, and HBO has dropped a whole new trailer featuring some returning faces from the world’s most realistic theme park.

Watch the preview for Westworld Season 4:

We don’t really know what kind of story the fourth season of Westworld is going to bring, but we do know that the whole plot has moved out of the park and into the human world. Besides returning characters like Maeve and another version of Dolores; we also have Season 3’s new face Caleb, who has managed to break out of his pre-determined life after the destruction of Rehoboam.

The show admittedly looks pretty different from the first season, with the departure of actors like Sir Anthony Hopkins and James Marsden. Nevertheless, Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have managed to stick true to the themes of control and humanity, and they’re using the science-fiction genre to the best of its abilities.

We don’t know where Westworld Season 4 could go, but I’m excited to see what Nolan and Joy have planned down the line. I’ll admit, I’m a tad confused as to who’s who anymore, but I’m pretty sure someone on Youtube has already meticulously explained everything in a non-dramatic, easy-to-digest way—just in time for the premiere.

It’s unclear how long Westworld has to go in terms of its story, but hopefully it doesn’t end up like the final season of Game of Thrones—which a lot of fans still can’t shut up about.

Westworld 4 premieres on HBO Max on June 26.

Eleven Doesn’t Have Powers in New Stranger Things 4 Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/eleven-doesnt-have-powers-in-new-stranger-things-4-trailer/ Wed, 13 Apr 2022 17:28:13 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=64852 The pandemic may have caused a major delay, but Stranger Things is finally coming back to Netflix, and fans can’t wait to see what happened to our favorite gang of kids from Hawkins, Indiana. We just got a new trailer for the fourth season, and it reveals a lot of the plot—as well as the appearance of a whole new villain.

Check the Stranger Things season 4 trailer down here:

With mystery being a very integral part to the success of Stranger Things, the new trailer didn’t come with an overall synopsis for the season. Instead, fans are left to put together pieces of the story, with the reveal that Eleven has lost her powers and teases of Hopper’s time in Russia.

We also get a look at the season’s new villain, which is suspected to be the biggest bad of them all. With the Demogorgon revealed to be a mindless beast and the Mind Flayer actually having sentience, we should expect this new villain to really give the gang a run for their money, seeing as they’re now dealing with something that knows exactly what the Upside Down is and how it’s connected to their world.

Stranger Things has been confirmed to only last five seasons, but that doesn’t mean we’ll get shorted on episodes. The fourths season has been split into two with the second half set to come out in July. We should also expect the same with Season 5, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Catch Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 when it releases on Netflix on May 27.

Duffer Brothers Say Upside Down will Finally be Fully Explained https://www.geekfeed.com/duffer-brothers-say-upside-down-will-finally-be-fully-explained/ Tue, 12 Apr 2022 11:17:52 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=64804 We’ve known about the ‘Upside Down’ since the first season of Stranger Things, and over the course of four seasons, this alternate dimension has remained mostly a mystery. With the show having two seasons left, creators the Duffer Brothers promise that audiences will be getting solid answers as to what the Upside Down is.

Speaking to Deadline, the Ross Duffer explained, Back when we did Season 1, Netflix just kept going ‘Can you explain all this mythology to us?’… So we wrote this giant 20-page document, which talked about everything in terms of what was going on and what exactly the Upside Down was. And then each season we’re just sort of peeling back the layers of that onion, so to speak. But this season, we really wanted to really get into it and [revealing] some of those answers. But to do that properly, we needed time, so it just became bigger and bigger.”

The Duffer Brothers say that the upcoming season has been one of the longest they’ve ever made, and there aren’t any episodes that have a runtime of less than an hour. With the characters also having spread very far away from each other—Hopper the farthest in Russia—the two have compared the scope of the season to that of Game of Thrones.

While the entire series hasn’t been perfect, Stranger Things remains to be one of the biggest shows on Netflix. We don’t know if the showrunners will be able to pull off that perfect ending, but at least we know they have this whole thing planned out to the end.

The fourth season of Stranger Things premieres on Netflix this May 27.

DC’s Blue Beetle No Longer HBO Max Exclusive https://www.geekfeed.com/dcs-blue-beetle-no-longer-hbo-max-exclusive/ Mon, 27 Dec 2021 15:12:05 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62989 Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña is set to play the lead role of Blue Beetle for HBO Max, but it looks like the movie won’t be hitting the streaming service anymore—instead it’s going to get a theatrical release.

As per Variety, Blue Beetle is now set to hit theaters, and is aiming to come out on Aug. 18, 2023. This will be the first DC project that was originally announced for streaming, but then upgraded for a theatrical release. One can’t help but wonder if the same could be done for Batgirl—who is no doubt the more popular character.

Maridueña will be playing the Jaime Reyes incarnation of the Blue Beetle, who was created by Keith Giffen, John Rogers, and Cully Hamner; and introduced in Infinite Crisis. In the comics, Jaime finds a Blue Beetle scarab that grants him an extraterrestrial suit of armor.

For a while rumors were circulating that the movie was going to be a buddy-cop film with BB and Booster Gold; but for now, it looks like this film is going to be a solo outing. Then again, Booster could prove for a great foil character for Jaime, starting out as an opportunist from the future to an actual hero of the present.

Going back to Maridueña, he’s proven himself as a solid protagonist with Cobra Kai, being able to switch between action star and timid nerd with ease. It’s going to be great to watch him take the spotlight, and based on the theatrical upgrade, WB could have some real faith in this movie.

Catch Blue Beetle when it hits theaters on Aug. 18, 2023. Catch Mariduena when Cobra Kai returns to Netflix on Dec. 31.

Cobra Kai Season 4 Trailer Sees Rise of Eagle Fang https://www.geekfeed.com/cobra-kai-season-4-trailer-sees-rise-of-eagle-fang/ Sat, 11 Dec 2021 08:15:58 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62869 After three seasons of rivalries, Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso are finally working together in Cobra Kai, and the fourth season is set to premiere on Netflix this coming New Year’s Eve. Just in, we have a new trailer, and it amps up the karate drama between Kreese’s Cobra Kai with Johnny and Danny’s Eagle Fang.

Watch the trailer down here:

The official description reads:

Season 4 finds the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos joining forces to take down Cobra Kai at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament… and whoever loses must hang up their gi. As Samantha and Miguel try to maintain the dojo alliance and Robby goes all in at Cobra Kai, the fate of the Valley has never been more precarious. What tricks does Kreese have up his sleeve? Can Daniel and Johnny bury their decades-long hatchet to defeat Kreese? Or will Cobra Kai become the face of karate in the valley?

While the has been careful in picking out its references from the Karate Kid films, this fourth season will be bringing back Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), a friend of Kreese and a former teacher of Danny. We don’t know what the Silver/Kreese tandem is going to do to the current students, but it’s going to be interesting to watch Danny and Johnny put their differences aside and champion their own karate philosophy.

Though some shows get lost between nostaligia and introducing something new to audiences, the show manages to maintain a perfect balance of old and new; even commenting on the dangers of staying in your ‘glory days.’ We don’t know where this story is going to end, but showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg have been doing great so far.

Catch Cobra Kai 4 when it comes to Netflix on Dec. 31.

Eleven is Back in New Teaser for Stranger Things 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/eleven-is-back-in-new-teaser-for-stranger-things-4/ Tue, 09 Nov 2021 15:13:45 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62330 We may not be getting Stranger Things this year, but Netflix is making sure to keep audiences hyped for the return of their biggest show. While we didn’t get to see Eleven in the TUDUM 2021 teaser, we do have a look at her life with the Byerses in California in a new teaser for Stranger Things 4.

Watch the teaser down here:

Though the show’s main setting has been Hawkins, Indiana for three seasons, this is the first time we actually get to follow some characters outside of the town. Granted, it’s very likely Eleven and Will will be coming back to hang out with Mike and the gang when spring break arrives.

There is also the case of the subtle tease of “004/004” in the video description. While I thought that it was a hint that the series could be dropping on April 4, it’s likely to mean something else. Some suspect that it could be teasing more of Eleven’s ‘siblings’ making their debut, but since the last episode featuring “008” was one of the weakest episodes in the entire show, fans are hoping that the Duffer Brothers find a more creative approach when it comes to bringing out more characters from the Hawkins lab. Could “004” be twins? Or could they be the first ‘evil’ test subject that Eleven and the others have to band against?

Though the show has been very obvious with their inspiration, Stranger Things actually shines by making their homages feel more fresh and original. Stephen King easter eggs aside, it was actually pretty fun how they managed to include the freaking Terminator in their last season without it feeling too obvious.

Stranger Things returns to Netflix the summer of 2022.

Stranger Things 4’s New Trailer Embraces a New Horror Genre https://www.geekfeed.com/trailer-for-stranger-things-4-embraces-a-new-horror-genre/ Tue, 28 Sep 2021 13:07:15 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=61679 Netflix’s TUDUM 2021 had a lot of many big reveals for upcoming shows, but one title that a lot of fans have been watching out for is the next season of Stranger Things. Though we won’t get a season this year we do have a teaser for what’s to come in 2022.

Watch the new Stranger Things trailer down here:

We don’t have a breakdown or synopsis of what to expect with Season 4, but we do have a description which reads: “003/004”

While the initial reaction could be that the numbers indicate new incoming characters, I have a feeling that it could also be a hint at the release date at the same time. Though Stranger Things fits best with the holiday season, 2019 saw a release in the summer of July. What are the odds that the show could be aiming for a March release date, especially after the pandemic delay?

Going back to the series though, it looks like the show will be embracing a haunted house storyline this time around. With previous Stranger Things seasons being very creative when it comes to their homages, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Season 4.

I’ll admit, the last season pretty much felt like a good wrap-up of everything, but the Duffer Brothers seem to have a definitive end in mind, so we don’t have to worry about the show losing its fire before it gets inevitably cancelled. At this point, I think we could be watching Eleven and the rest of the gang encounter “strange things” until the 90s.

Catch Stranger Things 4 when it hits Netflix sometime in 2022.

Cobra Kai Renewed for a Fifth Season https://www.geekfeed.com/cobra-kai-renewed-for-a-fifth-season/ Mon, 30 Aug 2021 15:29:36 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=61234 Fans are still eager to find out what happens to the coalition between Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang with the upcoming season of Cobra Kai, but it looks like Netflix has jumped the gun and has renewed the show for a fifth season.

Here’s the season 5 announcement:

We don’t know what to expect with this fifth season yet, Season 4 is still a complete mystery to us. After bringing back John Kreese and eventually having him take over Cobra Kai from Johnny, the fourth season is going to feature the return of Karate Kid Part III villain Terry Silver. Is Silver going to take over Cobra Kai for himself? Or is he going to be teaming up with Kreese to play dirty against Johnny and Danny?

Ever since Cobra Kai landed on Netflix, the show has been applauded for its meta critique on nostalgia and the dangers of dwelling in it for too long. The show makes fantastic callbacks to the original era of Karate Kid while at the same time giving us genuine character arcs for the likes of Danny and Johnny. Not to mention they also give the kids their own meaningful journeys, and we get to watch them have their own struggles as their teachers try hard not to lose themselves in their rivalries.

Though a fifth season sounds great, I’m hoping that showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg have a solid idea on how to end the series before it starts feeling stale.

Cobra Kai Season 4 premieres on Netflix this December.

New Stranger Things 4 Sneak Peek Confirms 2022 Release https://www.geekfeed.com/new-stranger-things-4-sneak-peek-confirms-2022-release/ Mon, 09 Aug 2021 17:48:21 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=60952 While Netflix shows are hit and miss, one hit is definitely the nostalgia-fuelled adventure romp that is Stranger Things. After a delay from the pandemic, the show is back on track, and we now have a small sneak peek as well as a release window.

Watch the Stranger Things sneak peek down here:

We don’t really get much from the video, but we do see how all the Stranger Things kids have aged up. We also have a look at Hopper with a flame thrower. No explanation has been given to his return, but I’m waiting to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store for him. Could it be time travel? An evil clone borne of the Upside Down?

We also get the tease of more of Eleven’s ‘siblings’. Though the meeting of one was the weakest point of the season, hopefully the show has learned a more interesting way to introduce these kids with special powers. With the show’s reputation for paying homage to several other properties, I wonder what Season 4 is going to be calling back to this time.

While nothing was confirmed in the video itself, the description reads, “uʍop ǝpᴉsdn ǝɥʇ uᴉ llɐ,ʎ ǝǝs Stranger Things returns in 2022.” Though the last season got a summer release date, I’m hoping the release of Season 4 will line up more closely to Halloween.

No specific release date has been set for Stranger Things 4, but the show is expected to come back sometime in 2022.

Check it out the teaser for the fourth season of Stranger Things down here:

The clip pretty much brings us back to Eleven’s days in the ‘Rainbow Room’ and we also get to see the other children that were in the mercy of Brenner. We don’t know if these kids have powers as well, but as the second season has proven, the other kids in the room are likely to have their own special abilities.

On the surface, the Stranger Things teaser looks like a simple flashback, but there could be hints at what’s to come in Season 4. The chess pieces in the room look closer to that of the DnD figures that Mike and the gang play with, and there’s an ominous 8-ball saying ‘The Signs Point to Yes’, and there’s also a ‘marble drop’ game where the puck lands on “7” (there are already pucks on “4” and “8”). Eleven meets Kali (or Eight) in Season 2, so could this mean that we’ll meet Four and Seven this time?

Looking back at season 2 though, The Lost Sister was considered one of the weakest episodes of the season. Should the Duffer Brother decide to explore the kids from the Rainbow Room again, they should find the way to make the story more integrated with the rest of the season. If anything, it looked like they were ready to drop this thread of Eleven’s siblings in the last season, but I guess it would be interesting to come back to it.

Personally, I find the most impressive thing about Stranger Things is its ability to pay homage to retro pop-culture but still feel original at the same time. I don’t know where they could draw inspiration for this next season, but the first teaser with Hopper kind of felt like they were deriving from The Thing. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

No release date has been set for the premiere of Stranger Things 4, but the show is expected to come back to Netflix this year.

Master of None Returns This May after 4-Year Hiatus https://www.geekfeed.com/master-of-none-returns-this-may-after-4-year-hiatus/ Sun, 25 Apr 2021 07:58:11 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=59228 Aziz Ansari’s Master of None had been on hiatus on Netflix since 2017, and after Ansari’s #MeToo accusations back in 2018, he has pretty much been absent from the public eye; save for his stand-up special Right Now. What’s interesting is, Ansari’s Master of None is making a return out of the blue and it’s been announced for a premiere next month.

This was shared by @NetflixQueue, and they’ve revealed that Master of None will be coming back in May:

We don’t have any official details about Master of None 3 yet, but Variety reports that the series could focus more on Lena Waithe’s character Denise. Back in January, reports were also coming out that Naomi Ackie (The Rise of Skywalker) had joined the cast, and that the series will be shot in London; where Ansari had moved after the accusations came out.

Back in 2017, Ansari had said that he didn’t know what a third season would be about, as he doesn’t, ‘have anything else to say about being a young guy.’ With the global pandemic and 2018 controversy, it’s possible that Ansari may have found some other experience to draw from. Or, if the rumors are true, Dev could be taking a backseat so that Denise could tell more of her story.

No release date has been set for the return of Master of None, but the show is set for a comeback sometime in May. In the meantime, you can check out the first two seasons now available on Netflix.
