Director: No one is attached just yet. WB had been courting Mel Gibson and Jaume Collet-Serra, but both have passed on the project.

Cast: Because they were the first film’s highlights, Will Smith’s Deadshot and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn are bound to star. Other members of Task Force X who may return are: Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez (Diablo), and Karen Fukuhara (Katana). Of course, Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) is certain to take part also.

Rumor and Speculation: According to Joel Kinnaman, the film may begin shooting in 2018. Adding fuel to Kinnaman’s words, Suicide Squad 2 was noted as one of the DCEU features Warner Bros. intends to start work on in the near future.
