COVID-19 is still here, but cameras have started rolling in Atlanta for Sony’s Spider-Man 3. With studios taking extra precaution when it comes to the safety of the cast and crew, Tom Holland has decided to have a little fun on the set.
He shares this photo of Spider-Man making sure to wear a mask for safety:

While the post is made for laughs, it does ensure fans that the red and black suit from Far from Home will be making a comeback; but since this is a Marvel Studios film, we should expect a costume change at some point in the movie. I mean, they have to sell that merch.
If I were to guess, I’m thinking this scene will be building off right after the reveal of Spider-Man’s Peter Parker identity. We don’t know how Peter is going to handle it, but some speculate that this will lead to Peter asking Doctor Strange for help to try and reset the time before his identity is revealed. With the casting of Jamie Foxx’s Electro though, some think this will lead to some Multiverse shenanigans, with fans having their fingers crossed that we could see the return of ex-Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
For now, the movie is still set to come out late in 2021. Hopefully by then theaters are up and running once more. In the meantime, all we can really do is wait for updates.
Catch Spider-Man 3 when it hits theaters Dec. 17, 2021.
