Despite reveals about its growing cast, and a few tidbits regarding the new focus, little is known about Arrow Season 5. Fans are hoping to get a sneak peek at San Diego Comic-Con, but Stephen Amell already has the ball rolling. Amell posted the first behind-the-scenes image on his Twitter page.

The photo doesn’t offer much, but Amell rocking Ollie’s long hair hints at this being a flashback. This season’s flashback will use Russia as a backdrop, therefore it’s fair to assume one of those scenes is depicted in the shot above.
Another recent tease from Amell alluded to his needing to get in tip-top shape for filming. The information came with the reveal that the show would be shooting “the most vicious ‘oner’ in the history of network tv.” If the above image is any indication, he sure seems to have succeeded.
Season 5 guest star Cody Rhodes also recently shared a photo, though not one from the set. The image teases his unknown character’s being an adversary of Oliver Queen, if not the Queen family as a whole. Here’s to hoping hints of this nature will continue to emerge as the premiere date draws closer.
Arrow’s fifth season will begin airing this fall on October 5.
