Say what you will about Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, but it’s hard to deny how spectacular they look. What the billion dollar franchise lacks in storytelling and character development, it makes up for in stunning visuals.

How those are captured so vividly is through IMAX cameras. In a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Transformers: The Last Knight, the intimate relationship between IMAX and the Transformers franchise is shown. We also get a sneak-peek at the The Last Knight toward the end, too.

Check out the video below:

The eagled eyed of you will have noticed the filming of a medieval-like sequence. Back in August it was reported that British actor had been cast as King Arthur in The Last Knight. That seemed ridiculous at first, until Joblo.com reported that the film’s plot revolves around the classic tale of King Arthur. Optimus Prime supposedly revives his old planet, Cybertron, by using Excalibur. Because you know, why not. It’s a Michael Bay movie after all.

Rumour has it that a trailer for The Last Knight is attached to IMAX screenings of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which releases on Friday. All we’ve seen from the movie thus far is a piece of artwork and shots of few cars. This new IMAX featurette may be the precursor to a trailer or announcement of some sort. It would be weird to just drop that retrospective video for no reason. Whenever we do get our first look at The Last Knight, we can be certain it will be filled with a load of pretty explosions.

Transformers: The Last Knight is scheduled to release on June 23, 2017 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jerrod Carmichael, Mitch Pileggi, Laura Haddock, Santiago Cabrera and Anthony Hopkins. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Barricade will of course take centre stage, too.
