Though fans are sure they don’t want to see the older members hurting themselves anymore, Paramount+ may be looking to further capitalize on the pain of the crew.

According to Variety, Paramount+ wants to move forward with a renewed Jackass series. Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said during the company’s earnings call, “Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+.”

While some fans would expect that the old crew will be back performing stunts on themselves, it’s very likely that this show will be focusing on a new crew of Jackasses. The movie actually saw new cast members like Rachel Wolfson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, and Jasper Dolphin fitting in with the crew, so maybe they would have them (plus a few others) doing some stunts, and maybe have an appearance from an original cast member every once in a while.

Admittedly, the absence of Bam Margera kind of felt like there was a shadow looming over the happy reunion; but while I am hopeful they manage to mend fences in the future, maybe a return to the self-hurting silliness of Jackass may not be helpful for Margera. But honestly, a Jackass movie isn’t complete without some over-the-top prank on Bam’s parents.

No release date has been announced for Paramount’s Jackass renewal.

Jackass Forever Dethrones Spider-Man: No Way Home at the Box Office https://www.geekfeed.com/jackass-forever-dethrones-spider-man-no-way-home/ Tue, 08 Feb 2022 14:54:50 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=64000 Spider-Man: No Way Home had weeks being number one in the box office, but the latest MCU entry has finally met its match last weekend.

According to Variety, Jackass Forever had made a smash this weekend, earning $23.5 million on its first weekend, dethroning Spider-Man: No Way Home which was number one for six of the last eight weeks.

Despite the poor critical reception of the early Jackass films, there seems to have been a change of heart when it comes to this last movie. After all, this will be the last time that Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the gang will be together for a movie like this; and god knows nobody wants them to further hurt themselves now that they’re all middle-aged.

If anything, the camaraderie between the cast members is really what shines with the Jackass franchise, and that’s why no other online daredevils or Jackass wannabes have been able to replicate their success. While you can watch idiots hurt themselves endlessly on Reddit threads, the Jackass cast has always been special because of the special bond that the cast shares—and even viewers can feel like they’re part of the gang whenever they watch any of the movies.

Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast.

Jackass Forever is now out in theaters.

Steve-O Recounts His Worst Injuries Working on Jackass https://www.geekfeed.com/steve-o-recounts-his-worst-injuries-working-on-jackass/ Wed, 02 Feb 2022 14:50:44 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63759 Jackass Forever is set to premiere by the end of the week, and fans are getting bittersweet feelings about watching the crew put themselves in danger once again. Speaking of danger, one of Jackass’ resident daredevils Steve-O has come out with a  video, enumerating his most serious injuries doing the Jackass films.

Watch this:

While fans have watched Steve-O do some gnarly things in the past films, he recounts that this upcoming film is probably the most scared he’s been doing stunts because his (and everyone else’s) body has become more vulnerable with age.

Steve-O shares, “[It] takes less for our bones to break and it also takes less to knock us completely unconscious—and longer for us to wake up too.”

Apparently Steve-O had broken his collar bone and he had to get surgery to get some metal plates added to his shoulder. Though the injury sounds serious, we do get a fun clip of Steve-O “fighting the anesthesia” as he’s put under for the surgery.

With the Jackass guys at middle age, fans are hoping that this will be the last time they ever put themselves in danger for our entertainment. Though the stunts are crazy, the winning formula of Jackass has always been the camaraderie between the crew, and it’s exciting to see them reunite for one last time.

Celebrate the joy of a perfectly executed shot to the groin as Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the rest of the gang return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd and often dangerous displays of stunts and comedy.

Jackass Forever comes to theaters on Feb. 4.

Knoxville and the Gang Return in Final Trailer for Jackass Forever https://www.geekfeed.com/knoxville-and-the-gang-return-in-final-trailer-for-jackass-forever/ Wed, 12 Jan 2022 14:32:37 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63430 It’s been more than a decade since the release of Jackass 3D, and now Johnny Knoxville and his gang are coming back for more mayhem for one final Jackass movie. With Jackass Forever set to come out in February, we have one final trailer to get us hyped (or rather, worried) for TV’s favorite band of hooligans.

With Knoxville at 50-years-old—and the rest of the cast well past 40—a lot of fans are getting concerned on whether the Jackass gang should still be hurting themselves for their enjoyment; enter the new faces of the Jackass crew Jasper, Rachel Wolfson, Eric Manaka, Poopies, and Zach Holmes—younger, Jackass fans who have been brought along to do some of the more physically demanding stunts.

One Jackass alum that won’t be making a comeback is Bam Margera who had a falling out with the crew. It got so bad that director Jeff Tremaine even had to file a restraining order against him. While it would have been great to see Bam come back with the rest of the gang, it probably wasn’t worth the trouble based on the stories that have come out surrounding his exit.

If anything, maybe they can bring back Bam’s parents, April and Phil Margera, who have been in the Jackass films since the first movie. While I don’t expect any big pranks to be pulled on them, it would be nice to see how the two have been doing since the release of the last film.

Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast.

Catch Jackass Forever in theaters Feb. 4.

Johnny Knoxville and Friends Return in First Trailer for Jackass Forever https://www.geekfeed.com/johnny-knoxville-and-friends-return-in-jackass/ Wed, 21 Jul 2021 16:34:01 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=60627 Ever since Jackass 3D came out in 2010, a lot of fans thought that Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and the rest of the gang were finally done with their silly antics. But a decade later, the kids are back with some new faces for Jackass Forever, and we have a new trailer.

Check it out:

Here’s the official description:

Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast. Johnny and the team push the envelope even further on October 22 in jackass forever.

Though it’s great to see the rest of the original crew return, there is a sore spot in the sense that original Jackass member Bam Margera will be absent from the film. Reports back in May had revealed that director Jeff Tremaine had filed a restraining order against Margera who allegedly had a substance abuse problem on the set, and his refusal to go into rehab is what got him kicked out of the film.

Though I understand that Bam is gone, I would have loved an update on his parents Phil and April who had been the butt of jokes in previous Jackass movies. The crew may not have been able to make a piece with Bam, but hopefully there’s room for even one small cameo from the older Margera’s.

With the crew already reaching middle age, it’s very worrying to see them hurth themselves onscreen. Then again, this will be the last movie, and it’s still chockfull of the colorful gags that the series has been known for.

Catch Jackass Forever when it hits theaters Oct. 22.

Jackass Director Files Restraining Order Against Bam Margera https://www.geekfeed.com/jackass-director-files-restraining-order-against-bam-margera/ Thu, 27 May 2021 05:51:43 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=59689 It has been more than a decade since the release of Jackass 3D, and Johnny Knoxville and his gang are set to come back with a fourth movie later this year. While the franchise has been mostly focused on this group of (very brave and stupid) friends, it looks like they’ve caught some trouble with cast member Bam Margera.

According to TMZ, longtime Jackass director Jeff Tremaine has filed for a temporary restraining order from Margera following several reports of Margera being fired from Jackass 4. In a video posted on IG, Margera had specifically pointed out Tremaine and Knoxville for being responsible for his departure, and as it turns out, it was because they wanted him to go to rehab for his drug problem.

Despite Margera’s comments, his cast-mates have nothing to offer but help. Steve-O, who had also battled with addiction in the past (while doing the Jackass films, mind you), had this to say about Margera’s statement:

“The two people you’re saying wronged you (Knoxville and Tremaine) are the same two people who organized the intervention which saved my life. Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded. You’ve continued to get loaded, it’s that simple. We all love you every bit as much as we all say we do, but nobody who really loves you can enable you or encourage you to stay sick.”

In an interview with GQ, Knoxville also said about Margera:

“We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs… We tried to push that along. I think that’s all I really want to say about it… I don’t want to get into public back-and-forth with Bam… I just want him to get better.”

For some, it seems that Margera’s life has been on a downward spiral ever since the death of his friend and fellow Jackass star Ryan Dunn. It would have been nice to see him reunited with the Jackass guys for one last time, but I guess for now, things are just not turning out the way they were planned.

Fans are excited (and admittedly anxious) for the release of Jackass 4, and the film is set to come out on Sept. 2.
