Star Wars: Episode IX’s Title Might Have Been Leaked

Star Wars: Episode IX might be a little less than a year away from its premiere, but Lucasfilm has been keeping a tight light on the third and final sequel trilogy installment’s secrets for the past few months. Fans have been kept in the dark for so long, left to wither away while they wait for major Episode IX updates. Luckily, it seems like a reliable source might have leaked new info about Episode IX’s title release date.

ABC 10’s Morning Blend anchor Mark Allen just recently headed down to Pinewood Studios for a visit, and the television host decided to share a photo of his trip on Instagram. Star Wars fans soon flooded him with questions about  the upcoming film and in the comment section the TV personality decided to tease fans with Episode IX’s title release, saying that it would drop on everyone’s favorite Star Wars holiday, May the 4th.

While we have yet to see how accurate Allen’s little tease is, it wouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise if Lucasfilm made a major Star Wars: Episode IX announcement on May the 4th. What better way to celebrate Star Wars than with a full trailer or a title reveal?

However, as plausible as it sounds, there’ve been rumors going around that Lucasfilm might drop the first teaser trailer for the movie during this year’s Star Wars Celebration in April. That wouldn’t fit a May title release now, would it?

Let’s cross our fingers and wait and see.
