Will Smith is throwing us the action and humor for another big project together with his Suicide Squad director, David Ayer, as he already signed up for the sequel of Bright, a Netflix Sci-Fi film which recently put up a second trailer. The trailer brought the attention of many viewers who were fans of the first film and now, there’s a lot more to expect from this new project.

The film was said to cost over $90M, the cast includes Joel Edgerton, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez and other brilliant actors. Will Smith portrays the role of Ward, a human cop, and Jakoby the orc who is played by Joel Edgerton.  Tasked to protect a powerful relic from the enemies, this amazing duo is working with the LAPD to secure the world of mixed races of humans, orc, and other mystical creatures from being destroyed by powerful forces who are trying to steal the magic wand.

This sci-fi film surely puts a lot of trust with its content, same with the actors, but the producers are all excited to see the outcome of this movie. This was their first attempt to make such a high-budgeted movie with such promising talents in its aim to hit the box office with $38.6 billion dollars, Netflix just doesn’t have anything to lose with this, considering that Will Smith is a huge draw in Hollywood who could pull out the guns and all the puns which is why he can heat up the action scenes, while making you laugh at the same time.

The first movie aired December 22, 2017, and was meant with cynicism by critics the fans seemed to have loved it, but perhaps some of the hate as to do with screenwriter Max Landis? Hard to say in Hollywood.

While the Bright sequel is still under discussion Netflix plans on building its portfolio of content to about 50% Netflix Originals by the end of 2018.
