We may not know when the next Spider-Man/Star-Lord team-up is going to be, but Tom Holland and Chris Pratt are set to play elf brothers Ian and Barley lightfoot in Disney Pixar’s Onward. Just in, a new trailer has been dropped, and it gives us a good look at the story.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn5QmllRCn4

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.

While earlier previews for the film had teased a brotherly adventure, the new trailer reveals that the movie also has something to do with the boys’ father. By the looks of it, Ian (Holland) had never met his father, and it’s his desire to want to know him is what sets him and his brother Barley (Pratt) on the quest to find more magic in their world.

Though it's very likely that Barley will be the main source of comic relief in the film, I'm hoping he gets some serious character development as well. If Guardians of the Galaxy taught us anything, it's that Pratt can pull off drama when he needs to.

If you ask me, the world actually looks like a PG version of Netflix’s Bright, and I can’t wait to see more of it. I actually thought the premise of Bright was pretty interesting, but the movie just fell apart with execution. Hopefully Pixar manages to do better with Onward.

Catch Disney Pixar’s Onward when it hits theaters March 6, 2020.
