2. Cersei is Crowned Queen of Westeros
Not long ago, we thought Joffrey was bad. Now, with Cersei sitting upon the Iron Throne, things are about to get a lot worse. Having lost all three of her children after Tommen’s suicide, and having destroyed the Sept, the Sparrows and the Tyrells (save for Lady Olenna), the season finale saw Cersei crowned Queen of Westeros. Cersei has wanted this for a long time and has been working behind the scenes to control Westeros for years.
Her goal couldn’t have come at a higher price however, as she has lost all three of her children. Even Jaime seems afraid of her by the end of the episode. The beginning of Cersei’s reign signals the dawn of even darker times for the people of Westeros. However, since she has already shown her likeness to the Mad King, Aerys II, it can only be a matter of time before Cersei suffers a similar fate.
