7) It’s Rated PG-13
With the wildcard nature of Suicide Squad’s cast of characters, it was somewhat expected a few months ago that the movie would be rated R. However, last month David Ayer confirmed that the film would be PG-13, which was apparently always the plan. This is a little surprising considering that the more straight-laced Batman and Superman needed an R-rating for the ultimate edition of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“We were always going to hit the PG-13 rating,” Ayer explained. “But the film is meant to be that. It’s got edge, and it’s got attitude. And it’s got its own voice … There’s a lot in the film that’s going to surprise people.”
