We’ve known for a while that Kristen Wiig is playing Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984, but for all the promos we’ve gotten, we haven’t really seen Wiig in her final form. Thanks to some leaked promo art, we may have a look at Cheetah’s final transformation.

I have to say, the face alone looks fierce, and I’m curious what Wiig’s body is going to look like in this transformation. Though I have no doubt that Wiig can pull off a dramatic role, I am wondering if she’s going to be more physical when it comes to her clashing with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. At 46-years-old, I don’t expect her to be running around and doing some gymnastics. Then again, I’m sure CGI will also play a big part in how Cheetah moves in the film.
Also, I’m curious if the negative reception for Cats will influence how Wiig’s version of Cheetah will look like in the movie. They seem to be sticking to the furry aesthetic, but I don’t think that’s too bad for a superhero film. I mean, Cats is a completely different movie, so I guess you can understand why some people would be appalled by how the CG looked.
Personally, the hype for Wonder Woman 2 isn’t at a hype for me yet, but with the release of Birds of Prey, I’m sure WB will want to start promotions for the next big hero soon.
Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing two all-new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah.
