WB Allegedly Planning Henry Cavill Return as Superman

debating on Henry Cavill’s status as Superman. While some claim that he’s out of the role, Cavill himself has been vocal about keeping his part as the Last Son of Krypton. What’s great news is, WB seems to be ready to bring him back.

According to a source from Heroic Hollywood, WB is currently working on bringing back Henry Cavill’s Superman. As a result, they have put the standalone Supergirl movie in the backburner. If anything, it was probably for the best to put Kara Zor-El’s story on hold, seeing that we still have no solid grasp on where Cavill’s Superman stands at this point.

While there have been bashers of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, a lot of fans agree that Henry Cavill has been a solid piece of casting for the franchise. It would be a shame for DC to just brush him off, seeing that he has boundless potential that we have yet to see. Perhaps Warner Brothers could provide the DC Extended Universe with better writers and directors to help give Superman a better story.

For now, fans seem enthusiastic about Cavill’s return. We don’t have any idea how far DC has come with development, but word is going around that J.J. Abrams has been given the reins to revive Superman for the cinema. We know he’s great at starting things, so hopefully Abrams give us an update soon.

Here’s the synopsis for Wonder Woman 1984:

Wonder Woman squares off against the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility.

The next film in the DCEU lineup is Wonder Woman 1984 and it hits theaters Aug. 14.
