Katee Sackhoff is probably best known for playing Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, but Star Wars fans know her as the voice of Mandalorian Bo Katan in The Clone Wars. What’s interesting is, it’s possible that Sackhoff might be appearing in the live-action Disney+ Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.
Talking to Collider Live, Sackhoff was asked if she knew anything about the show, or whether she was going to appear. Sackhoff gives a very sly smile, and replies:
“Disney makes you sign these NDAs that are so thick… They’ve even gotten digital at this point. You just put your hand down and they’re like ‘we own you,’ so I have no comment.”
You can watch the clip yourself to see how she reacts:
Though Sackhoff didn’t confirm anything officially, it would make perfect sense for her to appear as the live-action version of Bo Katan. Katan would be reasonably older during the timeline of The Mandalorian, with Sackhoff nearing 40, she could very well be the right age to take on the role. If anything, I’m sure they can give her some prosthetics to make her look significantly older.
Not to mention The Clone Wars showrunner Dave Filoni is also involved with the making of The Mandalorian. What are the odds he’s thought of bringing Sackhoff? I mean, the Star Wars show is titled The Mandalorian and Bo Katan is from that race of people. You’d think she’d at least get a special mention or a holocron cameo.
Catch The Mandalorian when it premieres during the Disney+ launch on Nov. 12. Sackhoff is also returning as Katan in The Clone Wars which is set to come out in Disney+ as well.
