The Mandalorian 2 Allegedly Featuring Rebels’ Sabine Wren

While the first season was very sparing when it came to fanservice, it looks like the second season of The Mandalorian will feature more familiar faces. With the rumor of Ahsoka and Boba Fett making an appearance, one more face from the EU is said to be making her live-action debut on the show.

As per Kessel Run Transmissions, Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren will also be making her debut in the second season of The Mandalorian. She’s said to be accompanying Ahsoka in the show, and the two will be appearing for only one episode. Their appearance is also said to lead into the upcoming Rebels sequel series, which is also set to come out later in the year.

We should take this info with a grain of salt for now, but it would make sense that Sabine would appear alongside Ahsoka, since it was both of them that set off to find Ezra in the Unknown Regions.

I don’t really have an actress in mind for Sabine yet, but original voice actress Tiya Sircar kind of looks the part already; too bad I can’t say the same for Ashley Eckstein who was the original voice of Ahsoka. Maybe Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) could be a good choice, but I think she’s too busy working on Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop.

Luckily for The Mandalorian, the second season was able to wrap before all productions were shut down. We don’t know if the season will still make its original intended debut, but seeing as we haven’t gotten any announcements on cancellations, I think things are going as schedules.

For now, fans expect the second season of The Mandalorian to come out this October on Disney+.
