The Dragon Prince Renewed for a Third Season

Aaron Ehasz was the head writers to one of the biggest animated shows ever made, Avatar: The Last Airbender, so you can bet that everyone wanted to see what was in store for his Netflix show, The Dragon Prince. After a great second season, Netflix has announced that they have officially renewed the show for Season 3!

Check out the announcement:

Admittedly, the show hasn’t quite lived up to the prestige of Avatar, but it does have a lot of elements that made Airbender as memorable as it was. For one, the world that Ehasz has built is rich with its own lore and history, plus, all the characters in the show are very likeable and well realized. Who’d have thought that “villains” Claudia and Soren would end up so likeable?

Let’s also not forget the gem that is ‘Human Rayla’:

Hopefully the third season will have some more improvements to the quality of the show. The second season had adjusted the frame rate to make it smoother to the eyes. I’m curious if the showrunners are ever considering shifting to the more traditional animation style that we got from Airbender or Legend of Korra.

No release date has been announced for The Dragon Prince 3.
