After what felt like years of waiting, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is finally getting off the ground. We’ve been getting a lot of casting news lately, and it looks like Catwoman actress Zoe Kravitz is teasing her Selina Kyle look with her new haircut.

Of course, it’s possible that this look isn’t for Catwoman at all, but you can’t help but love the short pixie cut she has going on. Modern iterations of Catwoman in the comics have given her the haircut to make it look more functional for her thieving, so you can imagine how weirded out some fans were when The Dark Knight Rises has a Catwoman who didn’t just have long hair, but didn’t tie it up while she was on the job as well.
We don’t know what Catwoman’s role in The Batman is going to be, but I expect it’s going to be pretty important, seeing that Kravitz was the second person to join the cast after Robert Pattinson. Hopefully they get the fun dynamic between Selina and Bruce Wayne right. After all they do end up marrying each other in the comics. It’s only right the two should have some kind of chemistry onscreen with this new iteration of Batman.
Maybe she starts out as a villain and ends up helping Batman in the end? Or the movie starts off with an established rapport? If anything, I’m sure audiences are tired of origin stories; so let’s just get to the main gist of the film.
