Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is Getting Another Reboot

2016 saw the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Though the movie made money, it failed in comparison to its predecessor. Now news has it that Paramount is ready to reboot the franchise once again.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Dodge (Bad Words) has been hired to write a new script for TMNT. It’s also worth noting that the movie will still be made under the Platinum Dunes banner, and Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form are still attached as producers.

Though a lot of complaints about this iteration are online, the movie was said to have been well-received by its intended audience—the kids. It also helps that the four lead characters have very great chemistry with each other; complain all you want about the look, but the Turtles in the movie were characterized perfectly.

It was considered a flop, but I thought that Out of the Shadows actually works alright as a kids movie. I wasn’t a fan of Casey Jones in the film, but watching the Turtles interact with each other was always a treat. Plus, I think Bebop and Rocksteady looked pretty cool.

If anything, I just wish this new reboot will bring back the Turtle actors from the last two films.

No release date has been set for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.
