To hype up the release this weekend, we have two new trailers for the movie dubbed ‘Naughty’ and ‘Nice,’ and they both give us a look at the two sides of the film.

Watch these:

Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

From Damien Chazelle, Babylon is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva, with an ensemble cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.

If anything, the film feels like a prequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where it takes a look behind-the-scenes at the artists who all help bring the entertainment industry to life. Though the film is set in a more conservative era, it’s crazy what they were doing behind the scenes that everyone probably tried their best to keep under wraps.

The movie has managed to nab some top quality talent with Robbie, Pitt, Diego Calva, and Jean Smart. Let’s also not forget that Tobey Maguire looks absolutely insane in whatever role he’s playing in this film.

Catch Babylon when it hits theaters Dec. 23.

Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt’s Raunchy Film Babylon Gets New Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/margot-robbie-and-brad-pitt-star-in-babylon/ Wed, 30 Nov 2022 07:17:21 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72220 Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt may have starred together in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but the two are pairing up once again for another movie about the golden era of cinema.

Babylon is set to come out later next month, and we have a new trailer showcasing the dark side of old Hollywood. Watch this:

A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.

The movie comes from director Damien Chazelle who is best known for his movies Whiplash and La La Land. With La La Land considered to be an ode to the entire entertainment industry, we should probably expect Babylon to be the same thing, but instead of a romance between two charismatic leads, we have what looks to be a dark dive what happened behind the cameras when they were shooting movies back in the early days of the movie industry.

Though I’m not expecting Babylon to be a true story, I think a lot of the stories around the characters were based on real-life figures. Despite the height of the conservative era around the 20s, you can just imagine what they kept hidden when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Babylon is set hit theaters on Dec. 23.

Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt Star in Insanely Raunchy Trailer for Babylon https://www.geekfeed.com/margot-robbie-and-brad-pitt-in-babylon-trailer/ Fri, 16 Sep 2022 04:23:39 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=71062 Writer/director Damien Chazelle had already made his tribute to Hollywood with his film La La Land, but he’s ready to take on the golden age of cinema with his upcoming movie Babylon.

The film has gathered a star-studded cast which includes Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and Tobey Maguire, and we just got the crazy first trailer. Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

While we could always associate the early days of cinema as more conservative and uptight, I guess we should always expect the behind-the-scenes stories to be way raunchier. It’s almost unbelievable that a movie like Psycho wasn’t allowed to feature a shot of a toilet flushing.

Admittedly, several movies had already been odes to old Hollywood like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or Hail, Caesar!, but I am interested in this specific era where we are looking at the transition between silent movies and talking films. Sure we’ve had that tackled before with movies like Singing in the Rain, but it probably wasn’t as raunchy as this film.

Babylon is set to come to cinemas on Jan. 6, 2023.
