Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Recreate Shaun of the Dead Survival Plan for Coronavirus Outbreak

The world is in the midst of a pandemic, and it’s probably not an understatement to say that things have gotten slightly apocalyptic. What’s funny is, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have come together to develop a sort of PSA based on their zombie survival film—Shaun of the Dead.

Check it out:

It’s basically a play on the scene from the film where Shaun and Ed try to come up with a plan on how to survive the zombie apocalypse. What’s funny is that, when the lockdowns had started, memes were going around of everyone just staying at home, drinking a cup of tea and waiting “for all this to blow over.”

Here’s the original scene from the film:

This is probably not that big of a deal, but I love how Pegg is holding up a Star Trek mug in the end. Over the past few months, Pegg has admitted that the Trek franchise has kind of grinded to a halt, what with Beyond underperforming and the death of Anton Yelchin.

We don’t know when we’ll get a fourth film, but my fingers are crossed that they push through with the original plan and have Kirk run into his father George (played by Chris Hemsworth). We don’t know exactly how that would take place, but Trek is no stranger to time travel stories.

In the meantime, wash your hands, keep social distancing, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all this to blow over.
