She-Hulk Series could See the Return of Jessica Jones

While Marvel Netflix may not have been perfect, there were some redeeming elements from that branch of the MCU like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Speaking of the latter, it looks like Marvel may be looking to bring her back to the official canon.

As per insider Daniel RPK (via The DisInsider), Krysten Ritter could be reprising her role as the super-powered PI in the upcoming She-Hulk series. We don’t have any more details than that, but it would make sense for Jessica to appear alongside Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, as Walters is supposed to be a lawyer.

This news of Jessica coming back comes after rumors that Charlie Cox (Daredevil) will be making a cameo as Matt Murdock in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. We don’t know if any of that is true, but if anything, it would have probably made more sense for Matt to appear in She-Hulk rather than Jessica, seeing that he and Walters are both lawyers.

Then again, I’m all up for the return of the Marvel Netflix heroes. I thought that they were all actually cast pretty well, and it was really just a matter of how their shows were written. It would be great if Marvel treated the Netflix shows like ‘loose’ canon and just cherry picked some of the elements that worked while at the same time allowing for brand new stories.

We don’t know if Jessica Jones will make an appearance officially, but She-Hulk is expected to come out sometime in 2022. WandaVision debuts on Disney+ Jan. 15.
