The Incredible Hulk was the film that came out after Iron Man back in 2008, but it didn’t manage to impress at all, and a lot of fans have mostly forgotten the film. With Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) making his comeback with Captain America: Civil War, rumor has it that he could be back for a Disney+ series, and he could be bringing his daughter along.
As per CBR, insider Daniel Richtman reports that the Rosses may be making a comeback in Disney+’s upcoming She-Hulk series. He said, “While it’s early I also heard they plan to have General Ross in [She-Hulk] and maybe even bring back Liv Tyler as Betty Ross!”
If you know your comics, Bruce Banner’s main love interest is not Black Widow, but Betty Ross. Tyler may have only played her once in Incredible Hulk, but Betty was actually referenced as recently as Age of Ultron; the Hulkbuster is nicknamed Veronica as per the rivalry between Betty and Veronica from the Archie comics.
We don’t really know how the Rosses will fit in to the story of She-Hulk, but I’m hoping for some confirmation of Mark Ruffalo being attached. I would love to see Banner have some kind of reunion with Betty—even if he did look like Edward Norton the last time they saw each other.
No release date has been set for She-Hulk, but The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to debut on the fall of next year.
