In addition to the mind bending second trailer that continues to give off Inception vibes, a new poster was debuted for Doctor Strange. The tag line, “The Impossibilities Are Endless” describes the movie rather well, wouldn’t you say.

Everything we’ve seen from Doctor Strange so far is intriguing to say the least. It conveys itself as a very different type of superhero movie, one of mystical abilities, dimension shattering and Cumberbatch! Of course familiar superhero tropes will be in their like the origin story and good vs. evil narrative undertones, but it’s a breath of fresh air in Marvel’s catalogue of movies.

Up until recently Mads Mikkelsen’s role as the villain of the movie remained a mystery only for a prequel comic to reveal he is named Kaecilius. The actor also discussed recently the humour within Doctor Strange stating that there “absolutely” is a sense of humour within the movie despite its heavy duty aesthetic.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

“Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.”

Doctor Strange releases on November 4 and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams, Scott Adkins and Tilda Swinton.
