The Russo Brothers may be best known for making the highest earning box office film of all time, but there are still some fans who are wondering whether they’ll ever get cracking on that Community movie. As it turns out, the brothers are still very well interested in the project.

During a Reddit AMA a fan had asked the Russos about Community’s hashtag #sixseasonsandamovie, to which the Russo’s replied:

It would be really tragic if we couldn’t complete the “…and a movie” part of that hashtag. So one would hope…

The Russos had already confirmed during the AMA that they are working on a non-Marvel franchise which some thought would be the Community film, but it’s likely the movie Cherry starring Tom Holland which “parallels the true life story of the author, a former Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD, fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks.”

We don’t know when a Community movie can ever come out, but a lot of the main cast are still very eager to return. I guess the most complicated person to get for the film would be Donald Glover (Troy), who has been busier than ever, granted he’s been an A-list celebrity ever since he left the show.

For now, the Russos are prepping the release of Avengers: Endgame on Blu-Ray/DVD which comes out Aug. 13.
