Nicolas Cage is no stranger to comic book films, having played Ghost Rider back in 2007. He’s set to lend his voice as Superman in the Teen Titans GO film, and now rumor has it that he’s also part of the cast of the upcoming animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie playing Spider-Man Noir.

According to Discussing Film, Cage has been cast as Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. So far, the film has confirmed three different Spider-people`— Miles Morales, Peter Parker, and Gwen Stacey. With the inclusion of Cage’s character, it’s possible that the film has more Spider-characters to introduce that have yet to be revealed.

Fingers crossed we get Scarlet Spider… or maybe even a crossover for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

What started out as a questionable film for many fans has become quite the exciting project. Fans may have been scratching their heads about the Venom movie, but Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse actually looks like a fun, never before seen trip.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes out Dec. 14.
