Possible New Details for Doctor Strange 2 and GOTG Vol. 3

Avengers: Endgame is currently out in theaters, and though we know that Marvel has a Phase 4 of films planned, they have yet to officially reveal anything to us. Interesting thing is, an insider may have leaked some details for both the Doctor Strange sequel and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

This comes from Roger Wardell on Twitter, who is admittedly kind of a mystery online. The only thing he has to his credit is that back in December 2018, he leaked a bunch of info about Endgame that turned out to be very true including the fact that Thor will lose his figure and that the film will try to recreate the elevator scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

I guess some of the info is iffy though since he said that Stan Lee’s cameo would be in a 1970s car show. I guess he got the 70s bit and the car thing right, but there wasn’t any show.

Anyway, here’re the leaked details:

Doctor Strange Sequel

Just in case you didn’t know, Jericho Drumm is Brother Voodoo in the comics, and he actually succeeded Strange as Sorcerer Supreme at one point. As for Clea, she’s considered a disciple of Strange and niece to Dormammu. With her inclusion I’m starting to think the movie is going to dump Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer just like they did with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster.

I also think that “1980s” part of the tweet is just supposed to be a joke, but I wouldn’t put it past a Doctor Strange movie to get into time travel. Rumor has it that the movie would be delving into the Nightmare Dimension.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

As for Guardians 3, a lot of these details seem legit. Gunn is said to be focusing on closing the arc of this current roster of the Guardians, and I think having Rocket meet his maker and Drax discover his daughter is still alive would be a way to bring these character’s full circle.

There’s no mention of Thor, however, which is leading me to think they’ll either write him off or only give him a minimal role in the film. Personally, I was kind of hoping we delved into Thor’s character more, now that he’s ready to find himself outside of his duties that have been hanging around him since Phase One.

We should still expect some of these details to change in the final movie, but for now, everything is looking plausible. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if any of these leaks will end up true.

For now, catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters today.
