It’s been two weeks after the release of Avengers: Endgame and Sony has just dropped a new trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home. While the trailer actually gives us more on Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, a new extended clip from The Ellen Show has Quentin Beck going more into the specifics of “where he’s from.”

Check it out:

“There are multiple realities, Peter. This is Earth Dimension 616, I’m from Earth 833. We share identical physical constants, level four symmetry.”

It’s interesting that Beck should call this Earth “616” seeing as in the comics, that’s considered as the “main” timeline of the Marvel universe. Then again, a lot of people are convinced that Mysterio is actually just lying and this is just silly tech jargon to keep everyone off his scent. The guess is that these Elementals are just part of Mysterio’s light show, and he’s using them to make himself look like a hero—much like Syndrome from the first Incredibles movie.

Then again, I would be happy to see the film subvert expectations, but not in a sense that it betrays what the character is about—much like what happened in Iron Man 3 with the Mandarin. Maybe besides Mysterio putting on this masquerade, he’s also a creepily insane sociopath. We know Gyllenhaal can pull off that role. How dangerous would he be now that he actually knows who Spider-Man is?

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 2.
