Hype for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is slowly dying down, and director Rian Johnson has just come out to announce the release of the movie’s novelization. The book will include some bonus scenes not found in the film and there’s also a small clip of a deleted scene from the movie included.

As per The Star Wars Show, the novelization for Star Wars: The Last Jedi will come out on March 6, and will include bonus scenes like Han Solo’s funeral, a moment between Rose Tico and her sister Paige, and an extended look at Canto Bight. The novel will also include some deleted scenes from the movie, like this short clip of Rey running with her lightsaber towards a lit camp.

Check out the clip:

The deleted scene was said to have Luke reveal to Rey that there were bandits on the island that would regularly raid the nuns, prompting Rey to grab her lightsaber and try to fight them off; when she gets there, however, it’s revealed that Luke was just lying, trying to teach her another lesson. I’m guessing this scene is what would prompt Rey to explore the “cave” and find out about her origins.

I’ll admit, I would have loved to see a funeral scene for Han Solo, but I think it was great that the film started with the Resistance immediately evacuating the planet. Hopefully, fans of the film will grow to love the story more with the release of the book.
