With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker finally coming out, the fantastically animated webseries Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures can give us some new content that doesn’t hold back. Just in, we have a new video animation focusing on Kylo Ren’s link to Vader.
Check it out:
Besides scenes with Vader, we have some new animation on Kylo from scenes from The Force Awkanes and The Last Jedi. We don’t really have any moments from TROS, but you’ll notice that the title logo is now different with Rey holding the lightsaber and Kylo with his cracked helmet looming over her.
We don’t know what else to expect from Galaxy of Adventures moving forward, but I’m kind of hoping that Lucasfilm decides to give this animation style its own series. With Clone Wars really upping the quality of animation, the same can’t be said for shows like Rebels and the recently ended Resistance. Though the stories could be interesting, I think the animation is also a really important factor when it comes to keeping people interested in the show, and I would love to see more of Galaxy of Adventures in a format more than just a minute.
If you ask me, I would have asked Avatar: The Last Airbender creators Bryan Konietzko and Dante DiMartino to work on a show for Star Wars; Imagine a Star Wars show with the animation quality of The Legend of Korra; even the anime fans won’t be able to resist it.
For now, Disney+ is going through the final season of The Clone Wars. After that, we’re expecting a sequel to Star Wars Rebels sometime later in the year.
