It’s been four years since the release of the last How to Train Your Dragon movie. Now, DreamWorks is getting everyone pumped for the third film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
We’ve already had the release date for the film for a while. But now a new poster has dropped featuring a different kind of Night Fury.
Check it out:
Here’s a synopsis as well (via ComicBook):
“As Hiccup fulfills his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, Toothless’ discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away… When danger mounts at home and Hiccup’s reign as village chief is tested, both dragon and rider must make impossible decisions to save their kind.”
I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting too much from the second movie, but I was completely blown away with what DreamWorks came up with. That just sort of ups the ante for this film. I’m crossing my fingers that this doesn’t end up like the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
Besides the returning characters of Hiccup and friends, the villain will be a character named Grimmel voiced by F. Murray Abraham. We don’t know much about him yet. I’d be impressed if he could turn our more menacing than the last movie’s Drago Bludvist. Speaking of Drago, his voice actor Djimon Hoinsou is also included in the cast, along with Kit Harington and Cate Blanchett.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is set to come out March 1, 2019.
