Netflix has found another hit with GLOW, and while the third season is yet to get a release date, we have news that the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are moving from the screen to the comics.

This news comes from The Hollywood Reporter who says that the GLOW comic is set to come out in March of next year and will run for four issues. We don’t really have any specifics on the story, but it’s said that the show’s characters will be finding themselves in a charity wrestling event which will pitch them against actual lady wrestlers.

The comic will be written by Tini Howard who has this to say about working on GLOW:

“I’m more than just a GLOW fan, I’m a wrestling fan, too. I’ve written wrestling comics before, and I adore it. Wrestling and comic books are a natural fit for more than just tights and fights. Each of the gorgeous ladies has either developed her own character or adapted to one thrust upon her, and making that identity her own is not dissimilar to, say, putting on a bat costume.”

The art for the book will come from Hannah Templer (Jem and the Holograms: Dimensions), and the comic will also be overseen by GLOW co-creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch.

I absolutely love GLOW, and I’m happy to see them get some extended stories outside of the TV show. While we don’t have an airdate for season 3 yet, at least we could catch some more of Zoya and the rest with this upcoming comic.

GLOW the comic is set to come out March 2019.
