Kumail Nanjiani is probably best known for his comedy, starring in HBO’s Silicon Valley and The Big Sick; his next project has him working for Marvel Studios’ Eternals as Kingo, and just recently he posted up this amazing body transformation.
In retrospect, fans of Nanjiani should have seen this coming. In the final season of Silicon Valley, you can clearly see that Dinesh’s arms were getting more muscular. Funny that Nanjiani should have to go through this transformation as his co-star Martin Starr didn’t have to do anything this drastic when he was cast in the Spider-Man movies.
If anything, I hope Nanjiani’s body work doesn’t go to waste when it comes to this movie. Brie Larson has been posting a lot of her workout progress before Captain Marvel came out, but when the film released, we barely got to see any of her progress onscreen; this is kind of a weird 180 when it comes to the male MCU actors because I’m almost sure they’re required to go shirtless for at least one scene.
With the likes of Paul Rudd and Chris Pratt getting muscular for their roles despite being funny guys, it’s interesting to see that Nanjiani is also playing along. At some point, fans are already teasing Marvel Studios for having the real super soldier serum, as everyone who gets cast in the films always ends up shredded.
