A little kid in California by the name of Aiden Vasquez had gone viral today after news broke out that he ended up in the ER for not fighting back against his bullies. Vasquez refused to fight back because it was ‘not the Jedi way’, and lucky him, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker has given him a shoutout on Twitter for his acts of Pacifism.

Check it out:

Vasquez is no stranger to bullying. The child even got stitches on his cheek last year after someone pushed him against the wall. This time, though, the injury was above his right eye and required stitches as well.

The school district was asked to comment on the incident, but they were not allowed due to a confidentiality law.

No doubt bullying has become a rampant issue with children today, and hopefully this incident forces school administrators to place down more effective anti-bullying rules.

Going back to Star Wars though, it’s amazing how a franchise that’s 40 years old still manages to affect people today. Some people may just see them as silly space movies, but the films still manage to instill deep values to their most important audience—kids.

Now if only someone can do something about the toxic fanbase… that would be great.

Catch Hamill back as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Episode IX when it comes out Dec. 20.
