Granted it’s not as clever as the recently released skit with Kir Harington, but it’s still fun to watch Toothless fool around. With the release date so close, we could be getting more of these live-action skits come January or early into February.
Just in case you didn’t know, the HTTYD franchise is set to conclude Hiccup and Toothless’ arc with The Hidden World. Based on the trailer, we’re promised a huge time jump and by the sound of the narration, it seems that the dragons will have disappeared for some time in the Isle of Berk.
Granted, the HTTYD franchise is one of the standouts from Dreamworks, and it does this amazing thing where it grows along with its audience. I watched the first movie when I was in high school, and now the final film comes out way into my adulthood. I’m sure a lot of other fans of the franchise feel the same.
What began as an unlikely friendship between an adolescent Viking and a fearsome Night Fury dragon has become an epic adventure spanning their lives. Welcome to the most astonishing chapter of one of the most beloved animated franchises in film history: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. Now chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, Hiccup has created a gloriously chaotic dragon utopia. When the sudden appearance of female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they’ve known and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. As their true destines are revealed, dragon and rider will fight together—to the very ends of the Earth—to protect everything they’ve grown to treasure.
Catch How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World in theaters Feb. 22, 2019.
