Though Santa Monica Studios has been adamant that the game will release this year, fans had been skeptical about God of War Ragnarok since we have yet to get a release date. Now they can eat their words as PlayStation has finally revealed a launch date for Kratos and Atreus’ next adventure.
Here’s the official post:
God of War Ragnarök launches on PS4 & PS5 November 9, 2022.

Besides the November release date, we also have a new cinematic trailer which gives us a look at Kratos and an older Atreus.
Admittedly, the cinematic isn’t much, but with a release set for November, we should probably expect some more trailers and teasers to drop. I mean, we’ve already seen familiar characters like Brok and Sindri, but we have yet to get a look at some new incoming characters. Sure, there’s the Norse God of War Tyr, but what about the God of Thunder himself, Thor?
You don’t just put in one of the most popular characters in Norse mythology and not have him in the marketing. I’m sure Santa Monica is trying to hold out all their cards right before the release so we can get the maximum hype for Ragnarok.
After a delay by a year, everyone is excited to jump back into the GOW world and see just what’s in store for one of video game’s more iconic dads.
Join Kratos and Atreus on a mythic journey for answers before the prophesied battle that will end the world. All the while, the eyes of Asgard watch their every move…
