Game of Thrones’ Actor to Appear in The Witcher 2?

Despite critics not being completely onboard for the show, the first season of The Witcher was a hit for Netflix, and the second season has already been greenlit. A big portion of the fanbase admittedly comes from the Game of Thrones fandom, and it looks like one GoT alum could be making his way to the show.

As per GeekVibesNation, it’s possible that Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) could be making an appearance on the show. The speculation comes from a post by direct Stephen Surjik who has been scouting locations in Scotland. He made one post with the hashtag #kristoferhivju but then deleted it. Nevertheless, fans are now making the connection, and the story is out there.

Looking at it, I thought that maybe Hivju came from Scotland, but he grew up in Norway.  We don’t know what other reason Surjik could have to tag him in the post, but it would make sense that The Witcher would like to bring in Thrones actors. After all, fans of GoT have been coming out to praise Witcher as the new adult fantasy series to watch. It would only add to the hype if fans knew that a Thrones fan favorite would be making his way to The Witcher.

Of course, this is all just speculation on our part as fans. Until we get an official announcement, all we can really do is wait.

Here’s a description of the series:

Based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than monsters and beasts.

No official release date has been set for The Witcher 2, but it’s speculated that it could come out sometime in 2021. Catch the first season of The Witcher now on Netflix.
