Justice League star Ezra Miller has usually been an internet darling, but he’s recently gotten into some trouble because of a video that came out of him supposedly choking out a fan.
According to Variety, Miller was at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland and was approached by some fans. In the video, you can see the woman approaching Miller in a friendly sort of way, jokingly preparing herself for a fight, then Miller grabs her neck and throws her to the ground.

There’s still a lot of confusion going around on whether this was Miller’s idea of a joke, but Variety has said that sources from the establishment have confirmed that it was a serious altercation and that Miller was supposedly escorted out of the premises. Then again, even Variety is not sure whether the man in the video definitely is Miller; so for now, we have to take this with a grain of salt.
Either way, the internet is already jumping in on cancelling the DC star, and posts have been going around online of him being replaced as the Flash.
For now, I personally want more context out of the story before I start blaming people. Miller is usually friendly when it comes to his fans, so maybe there was something that wasn’t in the video that could explain why he did what he did. I guess it’s best we wait for some kind of statement from him before we start jumping the gun on judgement.
Here’s the synopsis for Justice League:
Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity, and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly-awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes in Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash, it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
