Besides The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm is working on two more Disney+ Star Wars shows based on Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ewan McGregor is set to reprise the role of everyone’s favorite Jedi Master, and he expresses his excitement to come back for Star Wars.

Taking to ACE Universe, McGregor shares that the Kenobi series will be using the same giant LED video wall that they used for The Mandalorian. With the prequels making use of green screen when they were made, McGregor says, he’s “just going to enjoy it all much more,” when it comes to the new method because this time, the actors can see the environment they are supposed to be in, making it “real-er” for them.

Here’s an inside look at the groundbreaking VFX method they used for Mando:

For now, McGregor can’t share much about the show, but everyone is pretty sure that it will be following Obi-Wan in the timeline between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. While I’m up for watching him fight off Tuskens in the desert, I would also love for Obi-Wan to go off-planet and have an adventure of his own; maybe even clash with Vader at some point. You can only keep interpreting Vader’s “A presence I haven’t felt since…” line so many times.

No release date has been set for the Kenobi series, but it’s expected to hit Disney+ sometime in 2022. The second season of The Mandalorian is set to come out this October.
