It seems that Netflix was confident enough that The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would succeed, seeing that they started shooting the second season barely a month after the show premiered. As it turns out, Sabrina will be coming back much earlier than we anticipated.

Just in case you can’t watch it, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina 2 officially comes back April 5, 2019.
We don’t know for sure what the story will be about, but we do discover that Harvey is descended from a long line of witch hunters. We was just a clueless boy in the sitcom, but I have a feeling things will still work out between him and Sabrina in the show.
Kiernan Shipka absolutely shines in Sabrina, and seeing that we’ve seen her grow up from her child acting days on Mad Men, she really drives the “coming of age” theme home with this show.
Though I’m sure a lot of people will be happy that the show is coming back earlier than expected, I kind of wish that they held off and released the second season in Halloween. I’d prefer that the shows took their time when it comes to writing their scripts, and to me it just feels like they’re going too fast.
That’s just my opinion anyway.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comes back to Netflix April 5, 2019.
