Watch the First Cinematic trailer for Star Wars Eclipse

Fans are still waiting for their first look at the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but Lucasfilm Games has decided to use the Game Awards to hype up the release of Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse.

Check out the cinematic reveal for Eclipse down here:

Here’s the official description:

Set during the High Republic era, Star Wars Eclipse™ is an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in many ways, and puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands, created in collaboration between Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games.

While we have gotten mostly AAA action-adventure titles from EA with Battlefront and Jedi, we should expect Eclipse to be a more narrative driven game—as expected from the developers of titles like Detroit: Become Human and Beyond: Two Souls.

Though the game is said to take place during the High Republic era, we already get a look at some Prequel era elements like Yoda (or someone of the same species) in the Jedi Council Room, and a Trade Federation control ship. Besides that, we get a look at an entirely new faction, and as expected, it looks like we’re going to have another all-out war. The question is between whom?

While some fans would like to stick to the lore of the Old Republic, the High Republic promises a whole new opportunity for stories and a more consistent rewrite of Star Wars lore. Though there are some Legends elements that people have lost, Lucasfilm has been doing its best to try and bring back fan-favorite elements like Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Bane.

As of now, no release date has been set for Star Wars Eclipse.
