Looking back at the huge cultural event that was the release of Zack Synder’s eagerly anticipated superhero beatdown, Batman v Superman, it is hard to believe the film did not get a video game adaptation amongst the slew of other marketing materials. Critics of the DC Extended Universe springboard will say Batman v Superman simply couldn’t be adapted into a video game because of its messy, elongated, and convoluted plot that has a rather underwhelming conclusion.

Well, graphic artists over at the BitCine YouTube channel would disagree, as they have taken the film’s core moments and transformed them into an 8-bit video game. Check out the awesome video below.

What the talented folks over at BitCine have managed to do is take the action sequences from Batman v Superman and translate them into a simple 8-bit button basher akin to platforming classics like Mega Man from the late 80’s and 90’s. The character models, animations, and sound effects are very similar to that of Mega Man and will immediately evoke feelings of nostalgia in those that remember playing those games. They have even managed to give Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL’s epic score the retro treatment. Wonder Woman’s theme never sounded so good.

So for those of you eagerly awaiting the release of Batman v Superman’s three hour Ultimate Edition, you can relive some of the film’s finest moments through this wonderful 8-bit video game adaptation.
