Return to the Scare/Laugh Floor in Trailer for Monsters at Work Season 2

It’s been a few years since we got the release of the first season of Monsters at Work, but now Disney+ is ready to premiere the second season of their Monsters, Inc. spinoff.

Check out the trailer for Monsters at Work Season 2:

The official synopsis for the second season reads:

“When new doors of opportunity unexpectedly open at rival energy company, FearCo, Tylor’s co-workers at Monsters Inc. begin to question his loyalty. As his Laugh Floor partnership with Val is pushed to the brink, Tylor must discover where he really belongs.”

Though the first season did follow up immediately on the events of the first film, this second season now brings in some elements from the prequel Monsters University, with Tylor even going back to the college, and the show reintroducing Nathan Fillion’s John Worthington as the guy who runs the rival energy company, Fear Co.

Not only was the series able to bring back all the original voice actors, but they were even able to get original voices from MU as well including Bobby Moynihan as Chet Alexander and Aubrey Plaza as Claire Wheeler.

Admittedly, Monsters hasn’t been able to grab the same amount of attention without the Pixar brand, but it’s the closest thing we have to a sequel to the films. The world is still pretty fun, and you just love to watch the friendship between Mike and Sulley continue onscreen.

Monsters at Work Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on May 5.
