After the success of Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, Disney+ is now gearing up for some MCU-related miniseries. First on the roster is The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and we have some new set photos of Bucky (Sebastian Stan), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), and Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).
Check them out:
While Bucky is embracing this all-black look for his character, he does sport the clean-cut hairdo that he originally had when he was fighting with Captain America in The First Avenger. Sharon Carter is also seen just wearing a regular suit, but hopefully she gets an all-out SHIELD uniform at some point in the series.
As for Zemo, he’s not seen wearing his iconic red mask in any shot, but the trench coat does come with some spotted fur around the neck—something that’s been a dominant element when it comes ot Baron Zemo’s outfits.
With the show set to premier sometime later in the year, hopefully we get our first teaser in May, around the time that Black Widow comes out. While it is a television show on Disney’s part, the series has been given a budget comparable to one MCU solo film—that should be enough to give us some quality CG, plus some well-paced storytelling.
We don’t know what to expect from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier yet, but the bar is set pretty high by what we got from The Mandalorian. Hopefully the show ushers in a new era of Marvel TV, because though people loved shows like Daredevil, I never really thought it was up to par with the quality that MCU films were known for. Sorry, Charlie Cox.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier hits Disney+ this coming fall.
