The character has been speculated from appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home to Doctor Strange 2 that at this point, it’s become a meme. A new rumor has come out though, that comic Lucifer is finally set to make an appearance, and they’ve already cast someone in the part.

According to Deadline, Sacha Baron Cohen has been spotted on the set of Ironheart, and there is word going around that he’s going to be playing Mephisto for the MCU. Nothing official has been confirmed as of yet, but the speculation is that Cohen will take a major part as Mephisto in the upcoming WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

With Marvel kind of becoming this machine that pumps out generally enjoyable material, I’m kind of sceptical that someone like Cohen, who is so used to his shock value and offensive material, would join their fold. If anything, I’m sure there’s a hefty paycheck in it for Cohen, but I am hoping that he has a very interesting take on comic book Satan. I mean, we already have sexy Satan in Lucifer, but how else could they modernize the character without offending any conservatives in the audience?

Cohen has not been officially confirmed for the MCU yet, but if rumors are to be believed, we should watch out for him when Ironheart soars into Disney+ in late 2023. You can catch Ironheart in her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which hits theaters Nov. 11.

Borat’s Maria Bakalova Joins Cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 https://www.geekfeed.com/borats-maria-bakalova-joins-cast-of-guardians-of-the-galaxy-vol-3/ Wed, 08 Jun 2022 15:28:51 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65558 Maria Bakalova is one of the break out stars of the Borat sequel, and she’s managed to turn everyone’s heads to her when it comes to comedy. She had starred in Judd Apatow’s The Bubble opposite Pedro Pascal, and now she’s landed a role in one of the biggest comedy-action films coming in 2023.

Variety reports that Bakalova has landed a role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. We don’t have that much details on the part, but it has been described as a key role. While I don’t expect her to play anyone from the comics, the latest Marvel films have managed to bring to screen some of the more obscure characters; so Bakalova could be playing someone familiar.

Other new members of the cast include Chukwudi Iwuji and Daniela Melchior. Let’s also not forget that Will Poulter is also going to be playing Adam Warlock, who’s been teased since the second Guardians movie.

We don’t know exactly what’s in store for Gunn’s Guardians Vol. 3, but it has been said that this will be the last time that we see this iteration of the Galaxy’s Favorite A-Holes. While I expect characters like Rocket and Groot to hang around to lead the next generation of guardians, I think we could be looking at the closing of the arcs for Drax, Gamora, Nebula, and Peter Quill.

While dying is the usual way characters are written off, I think it would be great if we got some happy endings and closure for the characters. Dying is so Endgame.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2023.

Borat Supplemental Reportings Trailer Released https://www.geekfeed.com/borat-supplemental-reportings-trailer-released/ Wed, 28 Apr 2021 12:56:41 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=59278 While Borat 2 was already a huge hit for Amazon Prime Video, fans just know that there was a lot of footage that didn’t make the final cut. Now Amazon is set to release  all that extra footage with the release of Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine.

Watch  the trailer for Borat Suplemental Reportings down here:

As you can imagine, some of these gags were probably deemed too offensive or maybe they just didn’t fit the narrative that the movie was trying to sell. You can even see the footage of the Sacha Baron Cohen dropping character and just try to keep his trailer door closed after he incites anger from a white mob (with guns, mind you).  You can watch him go back to his original accent and say, “Just keep going cause if you stop, you are going to be in a violent situation.”

Though Borat 2 wasn’t as great as the first movie, the sequel still attempts to be culturally relevant and reveal the inner biases of people—specifically Americans. If anything, there’s a lot of heart when it comes to the growing relationship with Borat and his daughter Tutar, and while their country is still backwards, the real message of the film is quite wholesome.

While I don’t expect a third movie very soon, these ‘supplemental recordings’ should be just as fun to watch as the sequel. Maybe we can expect Cohen to bring the character back once things start getting back to normal.

No release date has been announced for Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine, but we can likely catch it on Amazon Prime Video sometime within the year.
