Spider-Man: Far from Home is currently under production, and like always, everything is kept under a tight lid. The movie is shooting on location, however, and some set videos have managed to give us a look at Spider-Man in a black suit as well as Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain Mysterio.

It looks like the scene will feature a showdown between Spider-Man and Mysterio at a carnival. Though he’s not wearing the fish bowl helmet, it looks like Gyllenhaal’s get-up is going full comic book villain complete with armor and cape. No doubt the helmet is also going to be in the film, but it’s just a matter of time when we’re going to see it.

In the other hand, we have a video of Spider-Man wearing a black suit; some may say that this is inspired by his Spider-Man Noir look, but I’m actually convinced that this is the movie’s take on the iconic black symbiote suit minus the actual symbiote.

We know that Spider-Man won’t have anything to do with Venom which is coming out this month, so it wouldn’t make sense for Spider-Man to suddenly have the black suit. At least with this version, we can still have Spidey in the classic duds without actually breaking canon. I’m almost certain that he’s going to end up with a white spider logo on his chest to complete the look.
For now, a lot of things about Spider-Man: Far from Home are being kept under wraps, but that’s mostly because it’s the first MCU movie to come out after Avengers 4. If we find out too much about this movie, it could spoil how everyone comes back after Thanos’ snap in Infinity War.
Spider-Man: Far from Home comes out July 5, 2019.
