She-Hulk: Mark Ruffalo Details His Involvement

Word has been going around that Mark Ruffalo has had discussions about appearing in Disney+’s upcoming She-Hulk series, but we haven’t had any official confirmation yet. Just in, Ruffalo reveals that he’s still in talks, and nothing solid has been set for his appearance on the show.

Talking to Variety, Ruffalo explained:

“There’s nothing completely at a place where it’s a done deal… There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney+ series] ‘She–Hulk.’ If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table.”

Seeing that the character of She-Hulk has an origin directly tied to Bruce Banner, it would make sense for him to make an appearance in the show. I don’t expect Ruffalo to be in every episode, but he should at least be prominent in one. After all, Jennifer Walters got her powers after she had a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce.

Personally, I don’t know how mo-cap works, but if Ruffalo is too busy to provide the performance, maybe he can just reprise the voice role. Then again, it would be really great if he can be directly involved with the series, seeing as this could be a sort of ‘passing of the torch’ to a new generation of Hulk.

We don’t have a release date for She-Hulk yet, but before the lockdown, people were expecting the show to come out sometime in 2021. Maybe now it’s going to be set for 2022.
