Ahead of AMC’s The Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, new character posters have been revealed showcasing Negan’s lineup of victims.
The finale of the show’s last season debuted long teased character Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who first appeared in the 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic-book. Alongside that reveal was the concealment of a death at the hands of Negan and his trusted bat Lucille. The perspective of the death was first-person, leaving many fans angry they wouldn’t know who out of Rick’s posse has bitten the dust until the next season.
Also revealed in the tweets is that a trailer for The Walking Dead Season 7 will premier during the shows panel at SDCC on Friday. Cast members are also said to be in attendance. Although this trailer will unlikely reveal who has perished at the hands of Negan, it should give us a glimpse at what to expect in the next season.
Executive producer Greg Nicotero has recently stated that the first episode of Season 7 will be “intense, brutal and sad,” with the episode still being toyed around with in terms of editing. They certainly have to come back with a bang following the distaste of the season finale by some.
Fans have been speculating online for some time about who has died, with many rewatching the season finale to try an unearth clues. Those that are familiar with the comic-books may be slightly more clued in than others, but the show could go in any direction. Fortunately, we don’t have too long to wait to find out.
The Walking Dead Season 7 kicks-off in October on AMC.
